When building a home business you surf the internet looking for a business you think you might be able to handle. There you find so many things being said about multi level marketing businesses that it becomes hard to distinguish fact from fiction and you might get a little discouraged.

Here are five points that I hope will shed a little on the subject.

1. MLM businesses are illegal pyramid schemes.
2. MLM businesses don't work.
3. You can't market your business on the Internet.
4. Where is the big money I was promised.
5. Every headline is a hook to get you to look.

Point # 1.

Sad to say there are people who are floating illegal pyramid schemes and pretending to be legitimate multi level marketing businesses. They are there for a while and suddenly disappear. Some are caught, some shut down operations before they are caught. So caution is needed, but don't label all MLM as illegal.

There is no need to be frightened. The good ones outnumber the bad ones. What is needed is research. The good companies are proud of what they are doing and are even willing to prove to you that they are legitimate. If a company won't open their books to public scrutiny, Avoid them like a plague.

Example: There is one company that I am familiar with that has been in business fourteen years (1994). Their business has now been established on every continent except one and they are making in roads on that one. They have patented their products in a number of different countries. They are a publicly traded company on the stock exchange so their books are open for the world to see and It is an MLM marketing business.

This is only one of many,many good reputable Multi level marketing companies you have to choose from. Not all multi level business is publicly traded and not as open to public view, Do your homework, Research the marketing business your interested in.

Point #2.

If you are in an MLM business right now and it's not working for you there could be a number of reasons. If your not doing your marketing on the Internet you should be. If your up-line is not helping you market your business on the Internet, you probably need to fire him or her and find someone else to help you.

There is no such thing as a business that will not work if it's marketed properly electronically. If you Don't know your way around the Internet, don't give up. There are hundreds of guides and coaches out there who will be willing to help you. Many will do so free of charge.

If you are new to marketing and Internet network marketing particularly you need to give it time. Unlike some of the hype you see on the Internet good things don't happen overnight, or next week, or next month or the month after that, but if you are doing every thing right it will happen.

Did you ever watch a spider build it's web? That little critter works hard day and night building his web so it can have something to eat. The work was hard and tedious but the rewards did come.

You have to build a web of valuable content on the Internet that's going to attract people to you. The content we are talking about means, business articles that are published in strategic places on the internet. It's like advertising in the news paper but it's on the internet and it's free. That takes time and patience. The rewards will come, be patient.

Many business builders will write ten to twenty articles and sit back and wait for something to happen. That does not work, thirty to fifty articles would be a good beginning and five hundred articles would be even better. The moral is -- never stop writing.

Point #3.

Building a home business is done on the internet but your company says you can't market your business on the Internet. That is what some of you will hear from your company. If you are in the health and wellness business as I am, It's easily understood why your company says you can't do it and if you get caught they will black list you, cut you off as a distributor.

Your company has to live by rules imposed on them by the FDA or other agencies. They hire tons of lawyers to make sure that every word that's written and every statement written falls within the guide lines imposed on them. Every thing that is written by your company has a disclaimer attached, it's on packaging, brochures, magazines, CD's DVD's everything.

So If you as a distributor make just one slip of the pen and say something outside the guidelines, just imagine what the consequences could be to your company. Distributors are generally cautioned to stay within the guidelines even verbally, not making claims that cannot be substantiated and they are supposed to use the same disclaimer verbally also.

But, that should not stop you from building your business on the Internet. When you have a multi level marketing business your major concern should be, how am I going to train those under me to duplicate my efforts. Not how am I going to sell more product and how am I going to recruit more people onto my team.

Attention must be given first, to training yourself on how to use the Internet effectively to draw prospects to you.

Then you will be able to train the team you already have to duplicate what you have learned and then they will want to tear into their own business with enthusiasm. Isn't that what your looking for, people who are confident they will succeed?

Forget about selling the product, Think about selling yourself and your team as professionals who are willing and able to help others succeed in their marketing business.

Do this successfully and prospects will be beating your door down to learn how they can do it too. Then you can choose the cream of the crop to introduce into your business opportunity. Those ones will have learned, that by using Attraction Internet Network Marketing they can make any business succeed.

Point # 4.

Big money is being made through many of the models that are being presented on the Internet. The secret is, learning who is doing it, is it legitimate and if it is legitimate how are they doing it.

Personally I would not tell anyone they are going to have a huge income from any home business . What I would say is, if you have the proper training, the proper amount of perseverance and a strong desire to succeed and you don't know how to quit, you will see that huge income you are looking for.

What it boils down to is this. If you are willing to learn, are willing to stick with it ,make your best effort, your income will gradually increase beyond your Wildest Dream.

Point # 5

When you are building a home business, The headline is a hook designed to grab your attention and peak your interest. The headline on this article is no different. The difference is what is inside. I you find the article to be too good to be true, it probably is. If it knocks other peoples way of doing business or their product I would avoid them.

Look for honest answers to legitimate questions in their articles. Questions to ask yourself, is what I read informative, is there valuable information in here that I can use in my business. Does it feel like the author really wants to help.

If so try to find more articles by that author, Look at his or her profile. You may have found someone to coach you while your building a home business.
