Your Home Based Business: Learn What You Could Be Missing

The desire to have a home based business is a dream that many share. No doubt, you have given considerable thought to some of the things you must understand before you can run that business. Part of the process might include such things as identifying need, addressing questions of how to put it all together, and what format to choose. The following story tells about yet another area - one that gets neglected or even entirely forgotten.

Missed Opportunities

I will always remember the story of our neighborhood ice cream truck. It was a warm summer night and we had just finished dinner when I heard the sound of the ice cream truck in the distance. It was the perfect night for an ice cream treat and I voiced the idea to my husband. But the words were barely out of my mouth when the ice cream truck zoomed by our house so fast, that I never even had a chance to stand up - much less get outside to catch him - leaving us with our mouths open in disbelief. It happened night after night. We have laughed at that story for years, but we also learned something from it. Opportunities are missed - all the time. We hurry so fast to ‘get there’, that we miss golden opportunities along the way.

Get the best training

In any new home-based business, there is an endless list of new things to learn and new trainings to take part in. I found a marketing system that provides highly professional training for generating prospects for a home business through the internet. With click by click tutorials, the Renegade System helps establish your business from the very beginning. I started at Renegade University with precious little experience in Internet Marketing. As I went through the trainings, I learned to set a pace I was comfortable with and just keep taking small steps forward. If I tried to ‘get there’ too fast, I usually missed the whole point and had to go back and re-learn the missed training. Each step of the training is part of that ‘along the way’ opportunity.

Move ahead with training - even if it doesn't seem to 'fit'

Internet Network Marketing Training is easy to follow, but takes time and dedication. Sometimes, the things we have to learn are just plain uncomfortable. I remember when I set up a facebook account. It was probably the most uncomfortable thing I had done in my training. I could not see the benefit of sharing and talking with people I didn’t know. But, I did it anyway - following the process of moving forward - and wouldn’t you know - I started to meet some interesting people along the way. These people were golden opportunities I would have missed if I had hurried along and neglected that part of the training.

Learn how to capture the rewards

Creating a successful home-based business is all about learning what to do and what NOT to do. The owner of the ice cream truck (if he wants to create a successful business) probably should not zoom down the street. He should move slowly forward - just as we are learning to do - and benefit from all the opportunities he meets on the road. Otherwise, those opportunities will be lost - along with the rewards.

The pathway to a successful home-based business will probably not be a smooth, flawless journey. The journey will very likely present obstacles and difficulties, but will also offer many golden opportunities - if you just take the time to see them.

Really good, down to earth advice. I think moving slowly is key, especially on the internet. It's so easy to jump in and then get overwhelmed. Good hub--look forward to more.
