Walking as an Exercise

Today, we are so busy that most of us cannot commit to working out. Even if we are just near the gym or health clubs, we still cannot afford to devote ourselves into hours per session gym visits. We’d rather do work or study than to go to these places.

But as busy as we are today, we still recognize that we need exercise to have for good health and that these are beneficial for us. We may ask the experts and they will answer us that exercise can prevent several illnesses. And we also recognize that walking, as basic as it may seem, is a good way to ameliorate our health. While walking is good to our health, it is also an enjoyable exercise for the whole family and at the same time stress alleviator. Walking as a form of exercise releases hormones that will raise your mood and thus fight stress.

We may want something that would save us time from going to gym and work on the exercise that you like. Having this in mind, you can set up your own home gym. Not necessarily to occupy your whole space with bulky gym equipments like pectoral decks, benches, and weights. The concept of home gym is to do the exercise that you wanted to do and do it when you wanted to do so.

In addition to this, walking is another beneficial exercise. This exercise, aside from its benefits, can also be done almost everywhere. You can walk around your neighborhood and at the same time to socialize with your neighbors by saying "hi" or "good day" to them while walking. You can also walking inside your house. At your own privacy, you can start walking around the house, up and down the stares, or even jog in place if you want to. This will prevent your body from being idle.

Walking is an easy exercise to do. It is low impact than running so your body will not be that stressed and at the same time can ease your stress. You can train your way up in walking. You can start a 5-minute walking routine then work your way up to 30 minutes. This will greatly improve your heart rate and blood circulation.

There are many people who are into walking these days. Aside from changing your physical well being, walking can also change your social life. You can actually meet other people and talk to them while walking. Plus, this is a good bonding experience for the family. You can walk together around the neighborhood and have some fun.

Walking has more beneficial but yes you need time to do this. But again, you can see the results and I am sure you will never regret it. For added convenience, you can add in another exercise routine in your home like aerobics or maybe a strength-training exercise. You can easily do these exercises without the hassle of going out just to do them. It is a fitness gym right inside the comfort of your own home.
