Spaghetti Bolognaise is a great treat to serve up for the kids, they love it! Nowadays getting kids to eat any meal that’s rich in nutritional values and lacks the junk is a struggle. I decided to share my home made recipe with the world. After years of purchasing Dolmios spaghetti bolognaise sauce I finally ditched the jar and invented my own recipe that is just as tasty. I am so confident that you will like the homemade sauce hence my bragging!
So just how do you get the kids to eat this Italian dish? Tell them that the spaghetti is wiggly worms! Groce as it may sound to us adults the simplest things can intrigue kids and very soon they will be sitting around the family table eating your home cooked spaghetti bolognaise.
What do you need ?
1 packet of ready grated cheese
Oil for frying
2 cups of water
1 fry pan (or wok)
1 pan for cooking the spaghetti
1KG of beef minced meat
2 large tomatoes
Half a clove of garlic chopped
Optional (if you like a little spice add 1 chopped green chilli)
1 large onion (finely chopped)
1 fresh lime
1 table spoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of coriander powder
2 packets of tomato puree
Optional (6 mushrooms)
1 packet of spaghetti

OK no you have all your ingredients from the super market you need to start making the scrumptious dish. Get out your minced beef and rinse it water to clean , the add some oil to a fry pan , preferably a wok and fry the meat , add the chopped onion and leave for 5 mins until the onion starts to brown. While you are waiting for the onion and mice meat chop the tomatoes, chilli and garlic clove add them all to the pan. Get out the tomato puree sugar, salt, pepper coriander powder and add them all to the pan, then squeeze the lime into the mixture.
Fill 2 cups of water and throw them into the pan and leave the dish to simmer. While your bolognaise is cooking add the spaghetti strips to a pan of boiling water and simmer until the spaghetti is ready. Get out the plates, dish out the spaghetti and add the bolognaise to each dish. Add some sprinkled cheese to finish off the perfect dinner and there you go! Your very own kid friendly spaghetti bolognaises.
