There are many ways to shop around for a home security system, but first you must determine your budget.  Your budget should include the system itself, as well as how much you can pay each month for the monitoring and emergency system.

Alarm systems can be purchased for anywhere from $50 to $5,000 and vary greatly in price.  The size of your home and your neighborhood should both be considerations when thinking about which system you want to purchase.
