In reality the homeless shelter do not cure homelessness. At best, homeless shelters are bandages on a social wound. Sometimes the bandage provides a healing environment for the obvious wound, but it does not guarantee that the wound willnot reopen or reoccure. The mention of a homeless shelter creates a frightful image- dormitory existence, no privacy,chores,required counseling sessions, shabby surrounding, lots of rules, and no privacy.
