Homemade Face Masks

Face masks help nourish, heal, cleanse and tighten the facial muscles leaving the face soft and glowing. It is recommended that facemasks be used twice a week (every three days) for oily skin to draw out the impurities that clog the pores and remove any rough scaly surface on the skin.

Cleansing Mask

I tablespoon powdered brewer's yeast

½ tablespoon yoghurt

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon carrot juice

1 teaspoon olive oil

Mix the ingredients into a paste and then apply on the face.

Leave on for 15 minutes and then rinse off with wet cotton wool or a wet wash cloth.

Buttermilk Face Mask

Heat a cup of buttermilk and put into it three tablespoons of elderflower blossoms. Simmer on a very low heat for about 30 minutes. Then take off heat and let to cool and then apply on face.

Egg and Yeast Mask

Mix together one egg yolk, 1 tablespoon brewer's yeast and 1 teaspoon sunflower oil into a paste and apply. Leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse off preferably with milk.
