Great Stews

While making stew one day, I decided to take a photo to show how delicious it looks since you don't have the opportunity to taste it.

My husband says it doesn't get any better than my stews. He requests one each week, but I stave him off once in awhile. Generally, each week we choose two types of meals, something I can make and go for the week alternating each day or every two days.

My stews are generally chicken, beef, or hamburg. The package is usually large enough to make the stew and have one or two different meals with it. We are very simple people that don't do things fancy.

The stews consist of garlic, onion, mushrooms, carrots, celery, yellow squash, zucchini, turnip, pototoes, cauliflower, and broccli. The cauliflower and broccli break down to make excellent body. I make use of store bought chicken and beeth broth. A zillion spices, anything in my cupboard that takes my fancy, blended spices, pinch of red pepper. Anything left over in the fridge that might go well in a stew. Trying to fill the slow cooker so it will last several meals.

This looks absolutely delicious. What about being more specific as to have you make it.

BriteEdwards it is! That is one thing I can BRAG about. There isn't anything specific...just slow cooking after sauteeing the onions, garlic and meat..adding cut up vegetables and stock to fill the pot. Sometime I will put the approximate amount of veggies. Basically, just create you own taste of stew!

My kind of cook! I have been working out the details of some of my best recipes since I never measure, either!
