The Big Hoodia Scam.
70Hoodia Scam origins
Hoodia is often a scam product and many an unwary consumer has reported that hoodia just does not work and does nothing for them. Unfortunately, hoodia is not a scam but is indeed a fantastic appetite suppressant that has become the focus of attention in the dieting world. Many scam products have been developed that are supposedly hoodia, but which in fact contain little or no active hoodia and hence these hoodia scam products will do nothing for you and will not suppress your appetite due to the lack of pure hoodia in the product. A certain website that claims to be a watchdog, has reported that up to 75% of the products tested did not contain sufficient hoodia, Some did not even contain any hoodia at all.
The main reason that hoodia is subject to so many scams is that hoodia is by nature a rare product. It is difficult for manufacturers to obtain sufficient quantities for them to be able to satisfy the demand that there is for the product. This has resulted in many manufacturers using insufficient quantities of hoodia in their hoodia diet pills, for it to actually do anything for you. Other manufacturers also started to water down the hoodia contents by adding fillers such as saw dust.
Hoodia comnes from the Hoodia Gordonii plant which is a very slow growing succulent plant that looks like a cactus. Hoodia Gordonii is only found in the Kalahari desert of Southern Africa, which includes the countries of South Africa, Namibia,Botswana and Angola. There have been some attempts to grow the plant in Mexico and China, but the best hoodia is from Southern Africa. In the early stages, hoodia was obtained from the wild hoodia found growing naturally. This caused problems and soon legislation was imposed to protect this plant from extinction. Some hoodia farms were formed and rights given to them to cultivate hoodia gordonii. Hoodia Gordonii can not be exprted from South Africa unless it has a valid Cites certificate to prove it's origins and legality.
Hoodia has been used by the Sans tribe of bushmen for years as an appetite suppressant when they went hunting and went on treks. They would eat a little of the fleshy inside of the stem, and that would stop them from getting hungry or thirsty.
The world found out the secret of the bushmen and went crazy on the new natural appetite suppressant. Soon demand outstripped supply and the door was opened for scams. There was insufficient supply of proper hoodia, and so some unscrupulous manufacturers started to supplement the hoodia content in their capsules with other ingredients in order that they did not lose out on their share of the 49 Billion dolar diet industry. There was insufficient hoodia then contained in the capsules and therefore the capsules could not work as an appetite suppressant. Many dieters have bought these pills and have been totally dissapointed and calling hoodia a scam product. Hoodia is not a scam product but has been the target of scam artists.

Avoid being scammed when you buy hoodia
How do you avoid being scammed when you buy hoodia ? There are many things that you should be aware of when buying hoodia.
In order for hoodia to be effective as an appetite suppressant, you need to absorb at least 400mg three times a day. If the diet pill does not have 400mg of pure hoodia available to you per serviing, then it will probably not be of much use to you in reducing your appetite. Ideally when viewing the ingredients listed, it should list only pure hoodia and the gelatin capsule. Any other ingredients indicate that the product could have been watered down.
The supplier of the hoodia should be able to furnish you with a copy of the CITES certificate obtained when importing the product from South africa. This certificate lists the country of origin and should show South Africa as being the origin. If it does not show South Africa as the origin, then do not trust the quality. If the product has been manufactured in China, I would run a mile away from it.
The supplier should be a reputable supplier that has an adequate refund guarantee. If there is no provision for the return of the product, do not buy it.
The supplier should also preferably have additional independant laboratory reports on the contents of the capsule. Ideally, once again this should show only hoodia and nothing else.
Hoodia is an expensive product due to it being scarce and slow growing. If the hoodia that you are offered is cheap, then it is probably of no use. Hoodia usually ranges from $30 to $60 per bottle.
Hoodia is best digested and being an appetite suppressant, I fail to see how creams and some of the other hoodia products can allow your body to absorb at least 400mg 3 times a day as is required.
If you observe the above recommendations, then you will have little or no chance of buying a scam hoodia product.
Hoodia is not for all.
Hoodia is an appetite suppressant and not a miracle worker. Not everyone and their dog should use hoodia to lose weight. Hoodia tricks the mind into thinking that the stomach is full even when the stomach is not full.
Those who should use hoodia are those who are often tempted to snack between meals and those who wish to reduce the general quantity of food consumed in order to reduce calorie intake. It is very handy for those who are on diets and who still get hungry because they do not eat enough in their diet.Hoodia helps to overcome those hunger pangs whilst at the same time increasing your energy levels and lifting your moods.
People who lead a hectic lifestyle, and who are constantly having to eat at reatuarants and takeouts, would be better off using a product like Proactal, which is a fat binder. A fat binder bids the fat content of the food consumed, prior to it being absorbed into the body, resulting in up to 28% less fat being absorbed in the body.
People who are emotional eaters should not try to use hoodia. It will not help you. An emotional eater eats regardless of wether they are hungry or not. The fact that you are not hungry does not stop you from eating something when you are upset. It is far better that you rather use a program that will treat your emotional eating and I recommend that you look at Dr Frank's weight loss program, which will sort out your emotional eating.
People with eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. You are already dealing with your weight in an unnatural way and do not need extra help from hoodia. I would suggest that you have a look at the program by Dr Frank above under the emotional eating .
My Favourite Hoodia Product.
I personally choose UniqueHoodia above all the other hoodia products. Uniquehoodia is the purest hoodia with the highest constant level of the active ingredient p57, found in the hoodia plant. Unique hoodia comes in a 460mg capsule that gives you 460 mg of pure hoodia three times a day.
Uniquehoodia has an amazing 92% re order level from the customers who have previously ordered UniqueHoodia,. Now if that were a scam hoodia product, no-one would re order.
UniqueHoodia is comparatively cheap compared to other hoodia brands, when you look at your average daily cost per treatment. UniqueHoodia runs at a daily cost of approximately $1-08 on their best order deals. Some other hoodia products may run up to as much as $3-20 per day, because they insist on higher dosages than necessary. Do not look at the bottle price, but rather at the daily cost of treatment according to the suppliers recommended dosage.
UniqueHoodia is simply the best and purest Hoodia.
