The Easy Way to Clean Carpet and Floors

We all know how costly it can be to hire a professional to come clean your carpets, especially if you hire them every time your floor needs to be cleaned. We tend to put it off till we can't stand it any longer, or for a special occasion with guests. At that time, we hire a professional, or we go to the local home improvement store to rent a huge, bulky steamer, only to have to return it within a certain time frame. Now you can have clean carpets all the time, not till you are so disgusted and can't stand to look at your floor any longer.

This particular Hoover SteamVac model is equipped with Clean Surge. What is Clean Surge? It is an extra burst of cleaning solution for those stubborn stains that won't seem to go away. This model has a powerful 12-am motor, cleaning with simple hot tap water and a cleaning solution mixture.

Not only is this model for your carpet, but will clean your upholstery and bare floors, with its five spinning/scrubbing brushes that work at two speeds. There are two water tanks, separating the clean and dirty water. It is equipped with a brush rotation indicator, a convenient 8-foot hose, and a full one-year warranty.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Huge difference noticed after first use
  • Dries the carpet extremely well
  • Able to see the dirty water as you clean, then turning clear when that area is done
  • Machine is well constructed
  • Cost effective
  • Multiple purposes; carpet, upholstery, bare floors (not on wood)
  • Perfect to maintaining clean carpets

Cons:

  • Dirty water container fills up too quickly, needs to be bigger
  • The water changing process gets out of sync as the dirty water fills up faster than the clean water empties
  • Reading the manual is a must for this model
  • Machine will leak if the instructions are not followed
  • Machine does have a lot of compartments, hose holders, and latches, so you need to be cautious not to break one when emptying the tank
