If you’re looking into buying a treadmill, one of the better brands out there in the treadmill market is Horizon.  Horizon Treadmills are made by a company called Johnson Health Tech which is currently the 4^th largest exercise equipment manufacturer in the world, Horizon is no stranger to developing quality fitness equipment.

When it comes to the various specifications for these machines, they vary as follows:

-Motor sizes which vary from 1.75hp to 2.5hp

-A minimum of 10mph is attainable on each treadmill, the higher end models though can go up to 12mph

-You’ll be able to set it on an incline of at least 10%, the higher end models can go up to 12%

-The warranty for the motor in a motorized Horizon treadmills is between 7 and 15 years

As far as the features in most of these treadmills, you can expect to get:

-Workout programs built into the treadmill, anywhere from 4-8 of them

-A backlit Liquid Crystal Display System

-Heart rate sensors built into the hand grips

Of course I’m talking in general here, there are exceptions to this but most of the models fall into this range of features and specifications.

Horizon Treadmills on the whole are available to anyone who can shell out between $700 and $1,400 which is a relatively small amount of money for a treadmill, in fact this brand of treadmill are known for their low price tags and many of them are sold off as entry level units. One of the trade-offs to that though is that many of them have issues with durability and longevity.

On a related note, these treadmills are all built in China and products which are made in China have developed a reputation for being of low price but compromised quality.
