Hormone imbalance is something that can be followed by overeating and metabolic disorder. Few studies have reveled that women that suffers from bulimia can suffers through some kind of hormonal fluctuation. However, the metabolic disorder can leads the way for a certain faster or slower metabolic growth in the victim. You may encounter lots of weight that has been added to your body suddenly though you have not changed the routine of your daily eating habits. Sometime it may go other way and you can realize weight loss from your metabolism. You don’t need to have any kind of changes in your eating or exercises but it will happen automatically once you got affected with metabolic disorder. However, most of the people that tend to eat more need a psychological treatment, but the real treatment can be found through medical means.

Dr Sabine Naessen has done a study on bulimia relating it with the hormonal imbalance. She concluded her study with the theory that women that suffer form bulimia could have much of male hormone called testosterone. Yet, bulimia as a disease is itself a complex condition. It comprises of hormonal and genetic elements that forms with the combination of psychological elements. The women that suffer from bulimia can contain more male hormone as testosterone and less female hormone as estrogen. These levels of hormone will vary significantly with comparison to a healthy woman. High level of testosterone in a woman body can leads the way for her to get inclined towards more eating. This is called as the overeating. High level in testosterone can affect directly the normal metabolic rate and cause into overeating condition.

However, there are few symptoms prior to this stage and you need to know it beforehand. When a sudden change in eating habit comes directly after menstrual problem you may encounter bulimia. A bulimic patient can watch excess body hair. An oral estrogen can be taken with the proper advice of a doctor to cut off such physical problems.
