Host your own Wordpress blog for free

There are blogging sites like blogger.com , wordpress.com on internet where you can create a blog for free. But then your capabilities are limited by tools available on these sites. To host your own blog for free follow the following steps:-

1. Signup for free webspace at www.hostedwith.us.

2. Log on to your account using your username and password at www.hostedwith.us

3. You will be taken to Control Panel Page. Here you will see different tools available like File Manager as shown in the screenshot 1.Click on File Manager.

4. A new page will open as shown in the Screenshot 2.Click on New Directory to create a new directory where you want host your blog.

5. Now click on Create/delete MySQL Database. A new page will open as shown in Screenshot 3.

Assign a name for MySQL database and create database. Create username and password for newly created database and assign privileges.

6. Now go to Control Panel. Click on Application Installer and new page will open as shown in Screenshot 04.

7. Enter the name of newly created directory in the space provided for Target directory and select Wordpress from the list of applications. Click on Install Now Button. Now you will see a message that wp-config.php file can not be found. Therefore click on the link which says create a wp-config.php file through a web interface.

8. Provide the details about your newly created MySQL database, username and password to the Wordpress web interface and create wp-config.php and click on run the install.

Now in the first step of install you will be asked the title for weblog and your email address.

In the second step of Wordpress install, database tables will be created and filled with default data.

Carefully note down your wordpress username and password. Now click on wp-login.php file and you will be on the login page as shown in the Screenshot 5. Bookmark this page for using it in future.
