Microsoft Exchange has always provided internet messaging tools that provide feature rich and efficient access to email, calendars, contacts, and tasks. However with Hosted Exchange companies and individuals can now have business-class email within a "pay-as-you-go" model that enables them to scale their email operation as needed this minimizing the financial risk of operating it. Additionally Hosted Exchange Email free's up capital, and IT staff, as organisations effectively outsource their business mail solution to an hosting provider.

So a Hosted Exchange Provider, effectively operates an email server so businesses don’t have to. Importantly Hosted Exchange is bundled with Messaging and Collaboration Tools, and are designed to connect to remote devices such as smartphones, ipods and blackberry's in additional to more conventional desktops machines and laptops.

Hosted exchange is a way where a business will give over control of their email program to another company. This other hosted exchange partner will ensure that security is always high, and that email will work at all times.

So why would a business do this with their email? It seems that most businesses even though they do have a huge Information Technology or IT department do not want their own people handling the problems of email. Perhaps there are several other projects they need those IT people to focus on more closely.

When you are looking for a hosted exchange place you will need to find some things that are required. Rapid deployment of the emails between offices and everywhere. Upgrades that are right on time and any security patches that may come up will be timely placed on your system.

Compliance to all of the Microsoft licenses. Data center to handle any problems where you may call for both security or any kind of problem. No investment will be needed for several of these hosted exchange providers. And the overall cost will be low.

The security is supposed to be second to known on a hosted exchange service. Where no other organization is able to access any data on your company, or customers. Sporting many firewalls for added protection from hacking or other security breaches. All traffic is monitored at all times; applications are watched for proper behavior. The call centers are available all times of the day and all days of the week.

Backups for the system will be done not only monthly, but weekly and daily if required. With old information being archived and kept for as long as you need it. Each week that backup is a full backup while the daily backups are done as incremental backups. Data will be saved for seven years and at an offsite facility that will be easily accessed.

This service will be easily accessed by BlackBerry Enterprise. Which will include configuration over the air and wireless, policies will instantly be sent to devices, allowing password protection and locking of devices if needed. Two way synchronization is available too. Allows for remote control of email via the BlackBerry, address lookups, and updates to tasks and memo pads as well.

With so many things added to this hosted exchange service it's not hard to see why companies may hand over the control of their email. It's not often when you can find a reliable way even inside the company to stay up to date on all the patches and security risks that may come over an email account. So why not get a hosted exchange service to avoid problems? It seems like a very good way to avoid any viruses or security leaks that may have gotten out before. Of course your employees will need to behave themselves on email now too. Which in some places of business will curtail a lot of jokes that go around aimlessly company wide.
