Former Miss World 2000 from India Priyanka Chopra was born on 18th July 1982. Her father is Capt. Dr. Ashok Chopra and Mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra. Priyanka started her education in Lucknow; then continued in Bareilly.After that she went to USA for further studies in the USA. After completion of tenth grade in Boston, Priyanka decided to become a software Engineer or a Criminal Psychologist.

In the year 2000 she returned to India and started her her college in Mumbai. But she had to quit studies as she was crowned Miss India. Later she was crowned Miss World in the same year.

Priyanka made her first appearance on silver screen in a Tamil movie 'Thamizhan'. Her debut film in Bollywood was 'The Hero' in 2002, and then went on to act in over 28 movies. She has also lent her voice as a playback singer in 'Barsaat (2005)'. So far she has won 11 awards for her performance in 'Andaaz', 'Aitraaz', 'The Hero', 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi', & 'Krrish'.

Now she is one of the leading actress of Bollywood, acting in films opposite to all leading stars.
