Hot Summer Day
61Hot Summer Day
I have seen many hot summer days in my lifetime but the very hottest day I ever saw was two summers ago when I was in Trail, BC. The temperature soared to 43 degress Celsius.
I was on vacation in Trail and it was awesome. We were camping by the Columbia River. That would have been the third time I have camped in Trail. Trail is an awesome little town nestled in the Kootenay mountain range. Trail is also located minutes from the US border.
Each time we have gone to Trail, we have had hot weather and I mean hot but that summer two years ago was absolutely the hottest. We were so hot that we drove into the town of Trail and went to the Dairy Queen. We had a chocolate milkshake and I'll tell you, I don't know if it was from the heat or just the milkshake itself, but that was the best milkshake we ever had.
The campground that we stayed at all three times is actually located just outside of Trail in a little village called Waneta. The campground is run by the Kiwanis Club. It is called Beaver Creek Campground. We love camping in Trail and someday hope to return there for another awesome camping trip.
