Lower Calores, Lower Fat

There are a handful of ways to lower the number of calories in your baked goods. In many cases you can replace oil or butter with apple sauce. I've found this works best for cakes and brownies. They are still very moist and fudgy. Another trick I love is to use just eggs whites instead of the whole egg. You can separate your eggs or buy cartons of just egg whites. Either way this greatly reduces the number of overall calores.

If you are making, say, chocolate chip cookies, you could cut down on the number of chocolate chips you put in, or use half chocolate chips and half raisins. Don't like raisins? Use dark chocolate as it has more nutritional value.

No Pudge! Brownies are ABSOLUTELY delicious and are 100% fat free! Definitely give them a shot if you're looking for non-fat sweets! You can also make them with applesauce and in single servings (so you don't eat too much at once!)

But my all-time favorite recipie is this:

1 box cake mix

1 can diet coke

stir and bake as usually. You won't believe how delicious this cake is! Yes, it does have a little trouble staying together and makes better cupcakes than whole cakes, but it tastes ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!

Mmmm... low-fat cake....

ENJOY!
