Born in a Punjabi speaking Sikh family, Misnisha Lamba had ever decided to go for film acting, but she loved modeling and fortunately got selected to model for Cadbury. Her intent was to complete her education and concentrate on her journalism career first. She completed her education from University of Delhi and majored in English with Honors in 2004. She got her first break, while auditioning for the Cadbury commercial in Delhi. Director, Shoojit Sircar, signed her in his upcoming movie "Yahaan." Thus started her Bollywood carrier.

Minnisha has appeared in many TV commercials like Cadbury, Hajmola, Airtel, and Sunsilk. Her dream role is of Kate Winslet in ‘Titanic’.
