Meera Jasmine is a national award winning actress from Malayalam, who is popular in all south indian languages. Her original name in Jasmine Mary Joseph. She was discovered by the acclaimed scriptwriter and director Lohithadas, who passed away recently. Meera Jasmine's first film Soothradharan was directed by Lohithadas. She later acted in another lohithadas movie Kasthuriman and her performance was an essential factor for the commercial success of the film.
