Question I'm answering is a request for Myrtle Beach hotels. I could just as well end it here with this link, but I think the question is worth answering in detail, because Myrtle Beach is one of the foremost holiday destinations in the United States, with well over 14 million annual visitors.

Offering in excess of 60 miles of warm sandy beaches within range of an eclectic array of restaurants, shopping, entertainment, famous for golf vacations with all the usual urban luxuries, Myrtle Beach is to South Carolina what Anaheim and Los Angeles put together offer in California. And the Grand Strand is to the Carolinas what Highway 1 offers in California, between Los Angeles and San Francisco.

So anyway, goes without saying that if you have over 14 million visitors, then there's bound to be hotels and resorts catering to visitors of all stripes, from budget and family travelers to corporate groups and high-end luxury seekers. So what I'll do is break it up into three parts - Budget, family and luxury resorts, with best choice recommendations for each category, and links to full listings in each category.

Not to mention in a prime location. That filters out a lot, which leaves with a few places like the Gazebo Inn, with pool, spa, oceanfront acccess and rooms from $30 to $110, depending on date and your choice of room.

If you want to play safe and cheap, there's always a Best Western anywhere you want. The Best Western grand Strand Inn & Suites offers value for very little money. Rates from $119. Another option is the Microtel Inn & Suites.

Family Hotels in Myrtle Beach

Now making recommendations for cheap hotels is one thing. But best lodgings for the full family, which includes looking into which hotel offers the most value, in terms of 'family suites' with connecting rooms, twin beds, and extras like cribs, rollaway beds, baby-sitting services, laundry and kitchen utilities and applicances, room service with kid friendly menus - Now that's a different matter altogether.

Then there's still the question of price. I mean, a big luxury resort will offer all of the above, but most ordinary families may not be able to afford in excess of $350 per night. So basically, what we're looking for is budget family hotels.

Luckily, we have sites like TripAdvisor, which distills and presents the collective wisdom and experience of millions of travelers. And a survey of their users has found that the Dunes Village Resort in Myrtle Beach is the topmost family friendly hotel in the U.S. Clean rooms with oceanviews, and indoor water park with slides for the kids. Average nightly rate $139.

Other hotels known for being family friendly include The Breakers Resort and the Ocean Reef Resort. Then there's the Myrtlewood Villas, which offer cheap 1 and 2 bedrom condo vacation rentals.

Luxury Resorts in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach, golf vacations and luxury resorts all come wrapped up in a single attractive, if expensive, package. Two of the best options include the Barefoot Resort and the Grand Dunes Marina Inn. Here's a listing of the top 10 golf package deals for Myrtle Beach.
