Maltese Puppies Can Be Easily House Trained

Maltese puppy is very difficult to be house trained because Maltese in nature is not as sociable as other breeds. Maltese loves to urinate all over the places to mark its territory. The first target to house training or "house breaking" your Maltese is to make it to do its business outside of your house. Below are some tips to house training Maltese puppies :

- Allocate a specific place outside your house as the toilet for your Maltese. Once your Maltese puppy get used to the place, there will be "imprints" at that place and it will be its toilet forever.

- Set up a consistent house breaking schedule and feed your Maltese puppy at a schedule time everyday.

- Bring your Maltese to its toilet every 2 hours to make it familiarize with the place.

- Bring your Maltese to its toilet every time after eating, drinking, sleeping and playing. It is the time that it wants to do its business.

- Whenever you bring your puppy to the toilet, you can teach the word "go pee pee" or "go potty". Once it has done its business, you will need to praise it by saying "good pee pee" or "good potty". Then, treat it with a delicious dog biscuit.

- Maltese is very shy in nature, so do not have any physical contact with it when it is doing its business.

Maltese puppies can be easily house trained if you take good care of it. Since Maltese is so tiny and fragile in nature, it cannot undergo extensive training. Therefore, you should house train your Maltese puppy slowly and patiently. Even though Maltese is not as sociable as other breeds such as Bichon Frise or Labrador Retriever, if you provide enough love and gain enough thrust, the house training process will process smoothly.
