When will it end
When will it end

I thought I would take a break from talking about sports for a change and talk about something else I have an interest in. According to the National Association of Realtors, home sales have jumped over 7% from June to July, the largest increase in over a decade. So I ask you, is this really a sense of the housing markets way of correcting itself? Or, is this a false sense of security? And although I agree this is some good news for the housing market, I think we can agree the reasons behind this are simple. Unfortunately, we are not at the bottom yet. Yes of course there has been activity in the market, but the sales are driving home values down further and further. Sales are good, but when a distressed property sells in a market like this at a price much lower than the purchase price, this process begins to have a negative impact on the value of your home, as well as the surrounding neighborhood. And when we try to refinance or sell our homes it makes it extremely difficult. Difficult due to the fact that banks look at these homes selling in and around our immediate area to determine our value. I would like to add that I'm definitely a glass half full person I just wanted to open this up for discussion. I will sign off for now and I look forward to discussing this further.
