I will tell you all I can on how to delete Norton Anti-Virus from your computer. I'm guess you will need to do this if you found a virus protection application you prefer over good ol' Norty.

FIRST.

-I would look for the uninstall button that Norton has supplied for you. OR go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs. look for Norton and click remove.

*after the removal restart your computer*

SECOND.

-If there are any left over objects(most likely a shortcut icon) just delete it from your desktop or wherever it is.

THIRD.

-Normally the program should be wiped out from your computer by now. Go to Search on your start menu. then "check" the box that says "all files and folders" and make sure you search on your main drive(C: normally) or My Computer. put in the word "Norton" in the search box. That should find any leftover files :]
