How To Sell A Domain

The first time I made money online was through ebay. The second time was by selling one of my domains. Talk about a good investment. I purchased the domain through go daddy for around ten bucks, and sold it for $225 USD. I live in Canada so that worked out to some extra canadian dollars after the exchange. I listed my domain on sedo and someone made a offer. I didn't except the first offer and instead put it up for auction. Two people bid on it, and the highest bidder was the winner. After that sedo handled everything. They brokered the deal, took the money into escrow, and emailed me the details on what I had to do at my end. It was easy, and when it was done I received a check by mail. That is the easiest cash I have ever made in my life.

Sedo also offers parking. If you are not using your domain you can "park it", and supposedly earn money from people clicking on the adsense ads. Sedo takes a percentage, but the might as well taken it all because I have never made a single penny with a parked domain.

You might as well just put your own content on it, ad run adsense ads. I have made some dough doing this. My adsense formula is to install a blog on the domain. Then I install a adsense theme. I use pro sense blue or one of the other themes created by dosh dosh. I edit the theme, and add my adsense publishers code. Then just start blogging. Ping your blogs, and then the traffic starts flowing. People click the ads, and you get paid. It is really that simple.

I also earn cash from my membership sites, and Information Products, even better is info products with resale rights.

I am no online money making guru either. In fact I have only been really doing this for less than a year. I spent about two years researching before I got going. My suggestion for those starting out is to dive right in (the waters fine). The best way to learn is by doing. Don't waste your money on all the junk out there. There are only a few good ways to make cash online as far as I am concerned. That is through having your own site, selling info products, and promoting affiliate programs.

I have explored buying expired domains with traffic, and reselling them, and I believe that there is cash to be made that way too, but it requires special software to analyize the domains. Those programs can get expensive. I have been so busy that I havent done this, but it is worth looking into.

Things to avoid are surveys (you will just end up with lots of spam), and anything that sounds to good to be true.

If you have any questions let me know, I would be more than happy to answer them.

Good luck to everyone with their own online money making ventures.
