How Does Minoxidil Work?

Hair loss, thinning of hair, male pattern hair loss, female hair loss, dermatology ,hair loss centre , hair loss clinic, hair loss treatment, hair loss treatment for women and men.

Minoxidil (Rogaine) is a kind of oily solution ( if you are still using the

Rogaine solution , and not the Rogain Foam which do not have Propylene glycol

which is the one that give the oily aspect to your hair ) that is apply into

the scalp at the morning and then again before bed, or as recommended by your

dermatology.
Minoxidil, it is a potent anti-hypertensive medicine ( when use it as oral or

intravenous ), still used in emergencies to lower extreme high blood

pressures. It was during this use for high pressure that the hair growth

property  was noted in patients with androgenetic alopecia.
Its exact mechanism of action is not well known; most Doctors feel that Minoxidil causes dilation of the blood vessels in the scalp , then increased exposure of the  follicle ( the root of the hair ) to I’ve made this flow. It has been shown to work best on the top all the of the head and less in the hairline

The principal effect is to decrease the hair loss and maintain the existing growth.
Are high-strength Minoxidil formulas better than lower-strength ones and is there a natural equivalent?
There are three forms of topical minoxidil available over

the counter today: two percent and five percent ( both as a lotion ) and five percent as Foam.
It is generally felt that the

five percent Foam is more effective in preserving existing hair mention

and stimulating new growth. The five percent  solution or Foam

is not recommended for use in women cause of possible increased hair

growth on  the face. This growth is temporary, and still,  some

practitioners do use it after they explaining the full range of possible side

effects and complications to the patient. The five percent Foam is

way better at keeping and promoting new hair growth .
