Here's one of those nasty zits!

Got a date, or need to have your picture taken tomorrow? Got one of those huge, nasty, really friggin big zits on your face? I know how you feel cause I've been there and done that more than once myself. It's not the end of the world, as a matter of fact you could be zit-less by tomorrow;o)!

So we need to get rid of those zits fast, right! There are some tried and proven ways to clear up your pimples in a short amount of time so you can enjoy that date, and not have to have your pictures airbrushed!

Although everyone is different, and these techniques may not work for all, you really should try different things out and stick to what works the best for you. Also some cases of acne, and the resulting zits can be so severe that a doctor needs to be consulted, or excessive skin damage and scaring could result.

These methods I'm going to share with you are really for trying to get rid of that one big, nasty zit on your face fast...like, by tomorrow maybe? Anyway check it out and see if these techniques will work for you:

1. Place a small dab of toothpaste on the zit (use the paste kind, not the jell) leave it on overnight, it should dry (which will help to dry the zit out.)

The next morning heat a towel in hot water (as hot as you can stand) and place it on the zit, if there is a whitehead, the hot towel should be applied until the pore opens up and you can gently remove the pus (don't squeeze the zit, instead push down on the skin on both sides of it.)

Now gently wash the affected area with warm soapy water. That's it! Hopefully that gross zit is a thing of your past!

2. In a bowl mix a tablespoon of honey and a teaspoon of ground cinnamon together, and apply to the zit, scrubbing the area gently.

Leave it on overnight, and the next morning apply the wet heated towel (as hot as you can stand) to soften the skin and bring the zit to a head if it's to that stage of development. Remove the pus (if present) by lancing the whitehead with a sterile needle and pushing down on the skin beside the zit (don't squeeze it very hard, or you can spread the infection, and make things worse.)

3. Gently wash the zit with warm water and acne soap (or any mild soap will do.)

Bring a pan of water to a boil on the stove, and add about ten drops of tea tree oil to it. Let cool until you are able to wet a towel and apply it to the affected area, continue doing this until the zit develops a whitehead.

Sterilize a needle and lance the whitehead by piercing the very center of the whitehead, then push down on the skin on all sides of the zit to remove the pus, don't squeeze the zit hard or you could make things worse.

Wash again with warm water and soap and gently pad dry with a towel.

Give these methods a try and see if you can't zap your zits fast! Good luck with your date, photo op or whatever it is you got going on.

I could have really used this information about how to get rid of a zit when I was a teenager. Let's say I had a problem.

Yeah, me too agrande, just when you're at the age that you really want to "fit in" you start getting zits all over the place! Can be pretty tramatic, to say the least.

Take care my fiend,

Jery

According to the old man re: My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Windex! Ha, loved that movie. Been so long since I had a zit. Was when Roosevelt lived. My wife was pickin' on one she thought was on my back for almost a whole year. I kept tellin' her to leave that dam thing be it ain't no zit nor boil. Dr. dint know what it were, we kept our eye on it an' my wife's fingers off it. It got huge, no head. Was my lymphoma coming out it my skin. Had that taken care of real quick like and all is well and I'm zitless today. Hope this little hub helps some of them youngin's, good info here. peace, CC

Hi Rob,

Hey, thanks for your input, I was hoping others would add acne remedies they had heard about or used themselves. I have heard about your acne cure elsewhere too. Acne can be embarrassing, especially in your teenage years. Just when you want despairately to "fit in" you find it hard cause of your acne!

I was really lucky as a teenager, with good skin.

I like THIS avatar the best! Better than those "boys" you had up earlier!

Very useful for young'uns. I thought you were not supposed to lance them ~ like you are a surgeon? They can get rather painful and annoying. Luckily, I'm too old for zits now.

Yeah Debby, I'm too old to get many also. You lance just the whitehead and try not to go any deeper, just to keep from rupturing the skin if you want to clean them out.
