Interested in Hip Hop Dance, want to learn how hip hop dance is done?

I'm a great enthusiast when it comes to Hip Hop Dance - actually I have been dancing for 3 years now and will continue a long time! Don't worry I have been dancing other styles for the last 10 years of my life so I will take good care of you. :)

This autumn I start a 1 year education on How Hip Hop Dance is done and taught. So 10 month from now I'll be an educated Hip Hop dancer with "license" to teach.

I think the absolute best way of learning How Hip Hop Dance is done is by attending a dance class at your local Dance school. Having found the local school you need to choose which teacher and most important style you want to learn.

Choosing style and teacher can be quite tricky, yet it's a very important choice. Making the wrong decision may ruin your whole dance experience and in worst case quit the training.

To make sure you make the right decision I encourage you to watch a couple of classes before you sign up for any of them. This will give you a brief introduction to the style and how the teacher is working. When you have found a style that seems to suite you sign up and go training. If you find out that you don't like the style or how the teacher is teaching it, CHANGE, or you could ruin your whole dance experience.

If you don't have a dance school in your city or you prefer to dance at home I recommend buying a video course. There are plenty of really good videos teaching How Hip Hop Dance is done.

If you're just starting to learn Hip Hop a video course may be the perfect choice, why? It's a lot cheaper than an actually class and it can be done in the safety of your own home. If you're in the stage of selecting which dance style to practice this may be an excellent chance to try different styles at a cheaper price!

Remember to practice by yourself!

When you have learned your first moves use them! Practice by yourself, play your favorite song and just freestyle until the end. This is very important, if you don't do it you'll end up like a copycat. On the other hand, if you do you'll improve a lot faster and you'll be able to use your dance moves on clubs and parties. Let's face it, trying to remember that last choreography when you're out dancing with your friends isn't that fun.
