How I Got My Bboy Name

Once Upon A Time Not Long Ago...
To give you a little insight on my dancing history, I started in 2000, danced on and off for about 4 years. I then proceeded to stop, starting again September '09. When I first started I was really into it, I had always been good at learning sports and gymnastics stuff so I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the city I live in is fairly small so there was a very small breakin' scene. Being on an island didn’t help either, what little scene was here stopped or moved to the mainland. Now that we have a reference point, we can move on.
When I was starting out finding places that played breakbeats of any type was a challenge. There were a couple of clubs that had been around for a while, but as I was starting there was a dip in the local hip-hop scene and they just stopped. This left me going to a place that played Nu-school electronic breaks (not exactly a Bboys first choice for dancin'). So, left with only that choice I started hanging out there often and got to know a lot of people, including some of the DJs. I tried to get the Djs to play some hip hop or at least some more danceable beats. After a little time (and a lot of begging), the responses changed from straight up no’s, to maybe’s, eventually leading to them playing some better tempo breaks (still Nu-school, though). I wanted to learn everything I could about breakdancing, I was dancing any chance I could get. I tend to get really obsessive about things when I'm really into them. After a few months of going, they got used to seeing me around and would comment on the fact that I was always ready to dance. Finally one night I walked into the club and a buddy of mine called out to me, “hey, there he is ever ready.” I thought that sounded pretty legit, so I shortened it one “r” to “Eveready” and it stuck.
I’m still on that same island, in that small city, but now my perspective has changed. I’m committed to learning more about this dance and I’ve already gotten back quite a few of the skills I lost. Now it’s just a matter of getting my endurance levels back. All in all, I'm glad things went the way they did. Who knows, I may have never gotten a name at all otherwise.
If there are any Bboys out there wilh cool stories about their names, share the story in comments or with a link to the webpage it's on.

Dope story. Dope name.
Don't have a bboy name myself, just dancing to my hearts content. Still waiting for a name to come.
