You would most likely be asking the question: 'how much does my car weigh?' whenever your car breaks down and need a tow. The weight of your car will generally determine the weight of the vehicle needed to tow it. A light weight car will generally not be a problem. In some cases you may just be able to tow it with your neighbor's Nissan.

So if you are presently asking the question, 'how much does my car weigh?' I have a few estimates for you. The average weight for a car is 2900 to 3500 pounds. A 2001 Nissan Altima Which is believed to be an average sized car weighs about 2945 pounds. A Firebird is listed to weigh 3640 pounds. A Ford Cargo Van weighs 5271 pounds. A Mustang is 3560 pounds.

Well, as for other car brands and makes, as soon as I obtain estimates of what they weigh, I'll add them to the list above and keep this hub updated. So be sure to check again if your brand and make of car was not listed above. I will say it is quite important to know how much your car weighs. You may be challenged to carry it one day.
