How Not To: Overstuff Your Hub With SEO
Learn how not to over-stuff your hub with Seo, because over-stuffing with key words could put you at a disadvantage. New algorithms are being conceived on a regular basis that make the search engines more and more sophisticated.
The search engines do not just read keywords anymore, now they are able to read your text and determine for themselves what your keywords really are. If it appears to the search engine that you are deliberately stuffing your articles they are not going to like you or your article very much.
Key word tags are almost a thing of the past as far as search engines are concerned. The search engines may read keyword tags as additional keywords that belong in your text body. If there are too many of them they could be considered as spam.
The best way I know, how not to to over-stuff you hub with SEO is by using the title of your article as the theme of your article. This accomplishes at least three things. It makes the search engines aware of what your text will be about and your readers of what to expect from your article
Second it will help keep the writer from drifting away from the subject at hand. All writers have a tendency to drift off course occasionally. The trick is to weave the title or theme of your article into your content at least three times. Once in the first paragraph, once or twice in the body of you article and again in the very last paragraph.
This needs to be done logically, to please your readers and the search engine. The title of this article has a powerful phrase, "How not to" and an extremely powerful keyword "SEO" so it probably will work well.
When the search engines see your title and the first sentence of of your text are the same they perk up their ears, so to speak, and look for more in the body of your text. When they see it once or twice more, and again in the last paragraph they know you have stuck to your theme and they like your article.
A little more about tagging. I think SEO will only be used three times in the body of this article this article, maybe four. So if I tag it as a keyword the search engine will read it as a fifth time in my article. That should be okay.
The words, Search engine and search engines, Are used so many times naturally in this article, It could be seen as spamming if I add it in a tag also. these are already powerful keywords so why add more.
The words keyword and keywords are also powerful so there is no need to add more. They already occur naturally in this article. More is not always better.
What everyone should tag and I am sure very few do, Is tag their title or theme just as it appears at the top of your article. You will only use it three or four times in your article so when the search engines read it they will read it not as a tag but as a fourth or fifth occurrence of a keyword phrase in your article reinforcing the fact that you have stuck to your theme.
You should only need three or four more words to be keywords in your article. If there are other keywords the search engines pick up on, so be it, that will be in your favor. Remember the spider can now read your text and can clearly see your keywords without your tagging them.
Almost every article I have written recently I have taken my own advice and as a result as of this morning five of nine of my hubs are number number one on google and Two of them are Number one and number two a double hit. Check them out.
Rochell Frank asked for this answer. I really don't understand why because she is such a beautiful writer. Every article of hers I have read, has clearly been right on theme and beautifully written. She should be writing books as well as hub pages [maybe she is].
Rochelle if your are reading this I have one suggestion. I recently read your article titled "Tiny Vegetable Garden With Big Nutrition" A beautiful title and a powerful keyword phrase.
In the first paragraph the first sentence it could read, Tiny vegetable garden with big nutrition you can grow in any season. That would really set the spider on his ear.
Weave it in three more times and you would have a bigger winner than you do now. Then you would only need to tag your title and three more good keywords and let the search engine do the rest for you.
I hope this answers your question How not to over-stuff your hub with SEO. If I have the answer to another of your questions I would love to have a crack at it.
Good wealth to you.

Thank you this is a very good anaylisis of the strategy.
It is kind of like the idea of giving a speech on a certain topic.
1. You tell people what youu are going to talk about.
2. You talk about it ,(and give examples of what your are talking about ).
3. And then, you tell people what you talked about.
All of the stuff in between is flavoring.
