Learn to Drive Traffic to Your Facebook Group With Rich Content

Adding content to your Facebook group page is an absolute must for success

In a previous hub I described how to create a Facebook group. Here I'll teach you how to add content to your Facebook group. A Facebook group is a wonderful way to drive traffic to your blog or website. It gives you an engaged list of potential customers. In my previous hub I talked a bit about the importance of not being to pitchy for your website in your Facebook group because that will make you look like some what of a spammer. But, if you don't add content to your Facebook group it will never get off the ground.

I hope you'll find these tips useful. If I leave anything out or if you have a related hub feel free to let me know in the comments section below!

A Facebook group is like any other website in that you must continuously add content

Actually, a Facebook group is in itself just like any other webpage. In order to get Internet users to keep coming back to it you need to continuously add new content. Otherwise, without new content you're giving your potential audience no reason to come back to see what's new on your Facebook page. So, without adding new content your Facebook group will fail to help drive Internet traffic to your website.

Keep your Facebook group description text updated and fresh

The area of content that you can add to is your Facebook description. Once your Facebook group is created click on "Edit Group". Then under description you can continuously add new text to your Group description. Here you can also add links to interesting articles and videos if you wish. Keeping your description content updated will surely help to keep your Facebook group page from becoming dull.

Encourage group members to start discussions and leave comments

It's absolutely crucial that you have a "call to action" in your Facebook description. You need your Facebook group members themselves to help add content to your page. So, in the description you may invite your members to start discussions on the discussion board and to leave comments on the comment wall. This way your Facebook group will be generating content on its own while you focus on other areas of your page. Also - I must not forget - in the description you may want to remind your members to "invite their friends" to your group. That way you'll have group members helping you to invite new members who can in turn help to add content to your page.

Be sure to uplaod lots of interesting interesting images that relate to your topic

In the next box scrolling down your Facebook group you'll see a box for uploading photos. I'd strongy suggest you to upload a minimum of 25 images relating to your website or blog here. If it's just a few images people will think your Facebook group is boring and go away. Also, in your Facebook group description text don't forget to invite your group members to upload their images as well! This is another way of getting self-generated content.

Be sure to link out to other relevant sites

In the next box below you'll find "Links". Here I'd recommend to post about 10 interesting links to other sites online about your Facebook group's topic. Don't be greedy and not put links in here. Just like a good Hub your Facebook group should have interesting relevant links that go out to other sites. Don't be afraid to lose a visit to another website. If you've truly touched them they'll surely come back to your page.

Upload lots of good videos to your Facebook group

Next - upload video. Again, upload a minimum of 10 videos. If you already have a YouTube channel you can download your existing videos as FLV or AVI files and upload them to your Facebook group page. If your YouTube channel has been running for a while you'll know which videos have been the most successful and can add those to your Facebook group.

Your Facebook group will be a huge success if you're pro-active about adding content

If done correctly your Facebook group can be one of your most powerful online tools for driving traffic to your website. With your group you'll be able to reach a much wider range of people and lessen your dependence on the search engines. But, to be successful as a Facebook group creator you must be proactive about adding content to your group.

I hope this Hub about adding content to your Facebook group has helped. If you have any comments I'd love to hear from you in the comments section below!

Cheers,

This is quite clear and easy to understand. I never knew facebook could be this important. You work hard at your content and I'm sure you reap the rewards.

Is your facebook account the same as your username. I'd like to see your advice in action .
