Learn How To Get On The First Page Of Google

How to get on the first page of Google

In this article I will teach you a very technical way that significantly increases your chances for getting your HubPage, website or blog on the first page of Google. My method is based on keyword research and you'll see how I let Google tell me whether getting on the first page or not is possible.

No. 1 Rule to get on the first page of Google: Make sure your content is original

You're read this a million times and I'll repeat it again: MAKE SURE YOU'RE CONTENT IS ORIGINAL. If you're submitting copied content or content that has been poorly re-written with synonyms your article will be ignored by Google and it simply won't get indexed. Remember, Google hires the brightest of the brightest. So, their algorithm is set to weed out copied garbage. Now that the subject of submitting ONLY original content is out of the way I'll teach you my technique for getting on page 1 of google.

Getting on the 1st page of Google - Understand supply and demand as it applies to the Internet

Please stick with me here because you need to understand this concept to apply my technique. You need to understand the economic principles of Supply and Demand when it comes to the Internet and affiliate marketing. I'm not a genius (my ex GF scored MUCH higher than me on an IQ test!) but here goes: When you type a key word or phrase into Google you'll get a bunch of results. If there are millions and millions of results you don't stand a chance to rank for that key word. There's simply TOO MUCH SUPPLY of web pages meeting the DEMAND for information about that keyword or phrase. But, if you type in a keyword and get very few results you're in luck. There is LESS supply for the DEMAND of that keyword.

How to get on the first page of Google - Now the Nitty Gritty!

As an article writer or affiliate marketer you need to do your keyword research. What is your article about? What I want you to do is come up with about 10-15 variations of your title and write them down in a text or MS Word file. Be creative - think of all the variations of your keywords and how they'd apply to your article's title. While there are many kinds of keyword research software out there that will help you find variations of keywords you won't need for the next step.

Getting on the P. 1 of Google - Do an "Allintitle" Search

Now, open up your Google. I want you to type in allintitle:"MY ARTICLE TITLE". Do it exactly like that. That way the results that Google returns have those exact keywords in that exact order appearing in the search results. In the blue bar at the top of the page you'll see" Results 1-10 out of X results. Here's the trick. If that X results is high, say over one million, don't waste your time trying to write an article with that title. You'll never make it onto the first page of Google. You'll need to come up with another variation of the title to get the number of X results to under 100-200. If you can achieve under 100 results in your allintitle search your chances of getting on the first page of Google and even in first place on Google are extremely easy!

Cautionary note - Remember what I said about original content

Please remember that Google staff are not a bunch of dummies. If you manage to find a title that yields very few results in the allintitle search YOU STILL HAVE TO WRITE A DECENT ARTICLE below that title to rank high on Google. If you don't write a good article, however, and just provide some bogus rubbish and stick in a few affiliate links your article will likely get de-indexed after a few days or weeks.

My method for getting on the first page of Google

As an affiliate marketer and a HubPages contributor I have made a pledge to myself to only promote affiliate products which I have found truly helpful to myself and that I believe could help to benefit other fellow internet marketers. Personally, I use a tool that tells me whether I can get on the first page or not for any given keyword. I have used this tool quite successfully for getting both my HubPages and blog posts on the first page of Google. If you'd like to know more please click here for more information.
