How To Be A Top Hubber
72Some Secrets
I notice many people joining hub pages expecting to get instant attention and high in Google immediately. Let me give you a piece of advice right off the bat:
YOU WON'T GET RICH OVER NIGHT!
I have been a member of this great community for quite a while. I made my mind up that I wasn't here to make money, but to get my views out to the world. That mind-set is working and the money is coming too!
I am going to share a few of my secrets to keeping my profile score high.
Please remember that what works for me may not work for you. I suggest experimenting. The way you place capsules within your hubs can be very important.

Hub Scores
To keep your profile score high, you need to have high hub scores. I try to never let a hub drop below the score of 50.
The key to doing this is to write good, original content; you may quote but make sure and give the credit where credit is due.
Another very important hub rule is to use your resources. I believe there should be pictures in every hub and videos help too! Use your news feeds if possible.
Again, I will reiterate that after 1 week of being published, I will try to not let a score drop below 50. The only exception may be seasonal hubs such as Christmas or St Patrick's day, etc... If it drops below 50, I do things to fix it from adding material to checking tags and seeing if I have it listed in the proper topic.
There are even those very few times I will delete a hub because it just doesn't apply anymore.
One other secret that other top hubbers have taught me is to not put pictures at the very top of your hub. Google adsense has better ad placement this way and therefore makes you more money.

Make Friends
I have found that joining a few social sites can be very beneficial for promoting your hubs.
The very best one for me has been Stumble upon which is only available through FireFox.
I am also a member of Facebook and Twitter.
Do not spam people at these sites with your writings, but it is ok to post a link here and there.
I have even made my own social site where I can post links.
Making friends across the net helps. A friend of mine owns a forum and has my hub widget em planted there.
Links to both my social site and his forum are to the side.

Back-Links
A big plus with Google is back-links.
Whenever I comment on a blog or a web site I use my hub page profile page as the link.
I have also built a few free sites to put back links in.
Here are sites I have built and links to sites where you can build your own for free.

Thanks my amphibian friend.
I found that pictures keep peoples attentions for a longer period, especially stumble visitors.
It helps if you have an amphibious name too
good tips Froggy, the original amphibian on hubpages
You've got that right goldentoad, it does help having an amphibian name. Thanks and keep up the great hubbing!
Thanks for the info. I really appreciate your direct to the point reason. Like me the reason first reason why I joined hub is to connect the world through wrting. Though I would love to earn money too but I think that would come only after being patient like the need to learn in everything I'm still in that process looks like I'm too slow in it so I read more tips from the learned. Wink*
Love the new avatar my dear and Thanks for such good advice which I can always use...:O) Hugs
Good advice, especially about not letting a hubscore drop below 50. I try to go in and edit my older hubs on a regular basis. It seems to help. Thanks for the info.
good article
Very intresting indeed. Thanks
Great information. I'll have to put some of your suggestions into practice.
Good hub. I am still learning. Thanks and God bless.
I didn't realize any of this except to 'give credit'. And I don't know about links, or websites and other computer workings. I just found out how to 'finigelate' the capsules with the new hubposting. Whew! But I like it here anyway. Just feel really green-I didn't know there were any other frogs around either! Cousins?? :-)
Hey, nice hub. This was very informative and direct to the point. This is an effective piece that also expresses your point of view...very good! Have a great night! ~ Scott
Good hub....have done some of these things...will do more....thanks! :)
hey froggy,
thanks for the helpful tip. :)
Thanks my friends--Hope it does help you!
Great hub and helpful tips!
Very good hub.Thank You !
Froggy, can you explain backlinks to me? THANKS!
I'll be glad to Ashley--as a matter of fact I will do a hub just on backlinks, but right at this time I am sitting in the ICU waiting room.
My wife has been in there since yesterday when she had open heart surgery.
I will get to that as soon as possible.
Thank you for sharing Sir!.. very helpful tips! (i think i should understand backlinks very well)..

Interesting Froggy. Didn't know about the picture thing for e.g. Not that I've a scooby about how adsense works but still, good to know.
Actually, I'm the same about back-links.
Good hub, concisely put (for those of us who go blurry eyed at techi-talk) and thankyou :)
