If you were to die today, would you know where you are going? This hub will specifically answer that question and to will help you make the most important decsion of your life.

In the Beginning

To become a christian, you must believe that Jesus Christ the Son of God died on the cross for your sins that if you repent, you may live with God and other believers in paradise someday when you die. God has told us what to do through his word, The Bible, through which he breathed and man wrote. There are 66 books in the Bible. The first is Genesis, and in this book, the days of creation are explained. Genesis 1:1 says, " In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." God created the whole universe and its surrondings in 7 days! Genesis 1:3 says, " And God said, let there be light, and there was light." On the first day, God created light. On the second, God created the sky and parted the waters. On the third, God created the dry land along with plants. On the fourth, God created the Sun, Moon, and the stars. On the fifth, God created sea creatures. On the sixth day, God created all land animals and man. And finally on the seventh day, God rested. Genesis 1:31 says. "And God saw all that he had made, and it was good."

Jesus and His Life

On a cold night in Bethlehem, our Savior was born. God spoke to Joseph, Jesus' father, and said, " She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will his people from their sins." Mary, Jesus' mother did just that. Jesus was born lying in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Jesus later grew up just like any other human being. He walked among his people and gave them the good news.

Crucifixion of Jesus

Later in his life as he was sharing the gospel with the people, Jesus was taken into prison. He underwent many trials with Ponchus Pilate and Herod until finally the crowded shouted they wanted to spare Barabas, a prisoner, in return for Jesus, their Messiah! Jesus was then beaten and whipped and times until the guards finally stopped. Even with hanging flesh and bleeding badly, they still made Jesus carry his cross up to Golgotha Hill, where Jesus would be hung on the cross to die. Jesus hung on the cross as many believers and other citizens watched him die. As soon as Jesus passed, there was a great storm and a giant earthquake that split the temples curtain in two! Later that day, many of Jesus' disciples took his body and placed his body in a tomb and rolled a large stone infront of the tomb so no one would mess with it. 3 days later, a couple of women went to spread spices on Jesus' body only to find that the large boulder had been removed and an angel of the Lord sat upon the stone and said, "Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you." Jesus had risen from the dead!!

The Roman Road

Interested in becoming a believer of the true God and Savior? Very easy. Here is an example called The Roman Road that will help you with receiving Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."

Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 5:8 "God demonstrates his own love for us in this; while we were still sinners, Christ died for us!"

Romans 10:13 "For whomever shall calleth upon the name of the Lord will be saved!!"

*Romans 10:9 "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, YOU SHALL BE SAVED!"*

Heaven

As Christians, we believe that if you do truely believe Jesus Christ the Son of God died on the cross for your sins and you have asked him to come into your heart, you will be saved. When you die, if you are saved, your spirit will ascend to heaven to be with God and all the other believers and you will be there for the rest of eternity praising God. In heaven, you get a new body. There is no sickenss, sin, or anything bad in heaven. Don't you want to go when you die?

Ready to Follow?

Would you like to become a christian? If so, you first must believe Romans 10:9. Second, you must pray to God that you believe wholeheartedly that Jesus is Lord and you are ready to become a follower of Christ and enjoy the many blessings he has given us. Pray for forgiveness of your sins and bingo! Congratulations! You are now a follower of Jesus Christ!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this hub. Hopefully this has helped you in many ways! Thanks again!

I came, I read, you tried, John. I'm glad you have your faith. It's what you cling to that gives you purpose. It's not for me. I'm happy the way I am. I don't need religion, or the man-made bible to tell me how to live my life. I'm ok with you living by it. It's your choice. You should respect mine. Pray for me all you like.

Fair enough, John. We're still friends. I respect you as a great writer and a great person just doing what you are passionate about. There's nothing wrong with that.

Where's the baptism. No ticky, no laundry pal. Soooo many people have a gross misinterpretation of what is necessary for salvation. check it http://of-the-lord.blogspot.com

Obey Acts2:38 Take it or leave it, This is the only way. They're not my rules, I didn't make them up, it is however my duty to follow this message if I want everlasting life.

You don't have to be baptized if you become a Christian. When you become a Christian, baptism is an act of following in the footsteps of God. Think about it; when you accept him as your Savior, you are now following him and trying to be like him. One of the things you can do is get baptized. Once you have done this, continue living in the LORD and following his commands and he will protect you all the days of your life

So sad, I can tell you mean well, you are however missing the entire plan for salvation where the gospel is concerned. First of all there is no plan for salvation in Romans. This is a letter (Epistle) written to saints, i.e. people that already had salvation,as is every other epistle. Q:Where did these people get their salvation? A: In the book of Acts!

You quote Romans 10:9-13 What you are missing is that this is the same message that Peter Preached on the day of Pentecost Acts2:21 [21]And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Peter then goes into the first sermon ever preached, He also had all of the other apostles behind him backing every word he speaks and after he preaches these men come to realize that they crucified the Lord and it Pricked them in their Hearts Acts 2:[37] Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Now peter just told them in acts 2:21 that if they CALL on the NAME of the Lord they can be saved, and still they ask him "what shall we do" in other words what must we do to get this mans blood off of our hands. They knew that it consisted of something more than just a mind recognition there are actions that must be taken.

[38]Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. There you have it. that is the message! You've got the repentance but if you are not baptized "IN THE NAME OF JESUS" then you have no remission of sins.

[39]For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. Afar off means both in time and distance, even as many as the Lord our God shall call! There you go, if God is calling you then this is your message, and you must adhere to it.

40And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation."

So this message saves you.

You can cut and run and dodge the bullet for as long as you wish, the bottom line is that salvation CANNOT be valid without obedience to the word.
