Tip No 1 For Copywriting

Many people make some very simple errors when they begin copywriting and these once corrected can make an immense difference to the effectiveness of your copy.

What I'm going to do here is provide a few basic tips to help you improve your copywriting...

Tip No 1

Forget your school taught grammar!

When you're writing a piece of copy the first mistake is to try and make it read perfectly, it doesn't work it's as simple as that!

You're not writing a piece for your English Language exam, you're trying to sell a product or a service...

Remember that and you're already going to produce a much better piece of copy.

Ok, so now you want to know what I mean...

Quite simply make your writing conversational, imagine you're having a chat with your best mate over a beer...

Do you really enunciate every word?

No, I didn't think so, write as you speak and the piece will flow much better. Write as if you're speaking directly to the reader...

Not all the readers just one, remember it should be conversational.

To make sure you've got it right, read it out loud to yourself...

Thats right, I said read it out loud, you'll get a much better feeling for how it's going to read for real!

Try it out next time you attempt to write your own copy and see the difference it makes.
