I've wasted hours and hours of my time online trying to find out how to build a patio. Almost all of the information out there is either incomplete, or just plain wrong! I even tried to get a permit using a free patio design that I found and they told me that they were okay - if I wanted my patio to disintegrate during the next thunderstorm!

Even when I looked around at the big bookstores, I really couldn't find what I was looking for. See, I want to build a patio that complements my home and my yard. I also want a patio to improve the value of my house and be a place to relax outside with the family and neighbors.

After a few days of searching, I finally found a good and cheap book that was perfect to help me out with patio design and showed me the process of how to build a patio.
