How To Choose The Perfect Batman Costume
67Dun na na na na - Batman! (Costume!)
Since 1939, Batman has inspired leagues of fans to want nothing more than to don the cowl and cape and prowl the streets of Gotham in search of crime to fight.
Unfortunately, there is no Gotham. But there are Batman costumes! And just like the real Batsuit, they come in various varieties. Whether you want to be the comic style Batman or you want to mimic the new look of the upcoming Dark Knight film, there's something there for everyone.

What's Your Body Type?
Just because you're not 6 foot 2 and 220 lbs of hard muscle doesn't mean you can't be Batman come this Halloween season.
Of course, that being said, you should keep in mind that not all costumes are going to look right on you. That goes for those who are built like Batman and those who aren't.
For those who are taller and lean, there are muscle suits which attempt to make one look a bit muscular. Admittedly, for some people this can make one look like their head is way too small for their body. On the other hand, for those who are slim, but not skinny, these suits can cover problem areas such as a slack torso or flabby biceps.
Of course, for those who have been working out, there are the traditional bodysuits ala Adam West in Batman. Just make sure that you're comfortable with being that much on display.
The rubber and vinyl suits are fantastic for covering problem areas and giving the appearance of full-on superhero. They're all congruent with the current film standard Batsuit.
When You Get Your Batsuit
Before going out to roam the crimeriddled streets in your new Batman costume, you want to make sure that you're comfortable in your suit. And the only way to do that is by trying it on at home and walking around in it for a good bit.
By trying the batsuit on at home, you'll see if there are any areas that need to be altered and if there are any areas that will cause you pain or discomfort during your party or event. While you might feel a bit silly walking around the living room in your Batsuit (especially with the dog barking its head off at you), you will feel a lot less silly in your living room trying to adjust your costume than you would in a public place will dozens of people staring at you.

I was expecting to see a lot more Jokers on Halloween and while I did see a few, it was not the large numbers I was expecting.
