How To Conceive A Baby
71How To Conceive A Baby - The Easy Way
With so many of my friends and people I read about having trouble conceiving these days (and yes that includes myself) I often wonder if women have always had so much trouble getting pregnant or if we are just hearing about it more these days?
I mean I hardly ever hear stories about the women in the our past who have struggled so much with trying to have a baby. Is it because we are leaving it until later in life now? Perhaps it is the food we eat? Or maybe today there is so much stress around that it is making it harder to fall pregnant.
Whatever the reason, I have been doing lots of research into the subject on how to conceive a baby over the years and have learnt so much I thought I'd give back and share what I know about how to get pregnant fast.
Firstly I do believe a lot of the foods and our lifestyles are a contributing factor to our fertility. Many artificial substances and hormones have been added to our foods and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if this is affecting the balance of our own reproductive hormones.
Therefore your first step to conceiving a baby is to eat healthy. Fresh fruits and vegetables, wholegrains and lean proteins. These will give you all the essential nutrients and vitamins that you need to ensure that your body and hormones are operating efficiently.
You should also be taken a good multi vitamin supplement that contains folate as well in case you do fall pregnant. Folate has been known to reduce birth defects such as spina bifida in babies.
Drinking lots of water will also help keep your circulation running smoothly (as well as helping you produce a good quality cervical mucus which is needed for the sperm to reach the egg).
And of course, since we are on the topic of being healthy, exercising is also important if you are trying to conceive. The reason being is that just half an hour a day of aerobic exercise can improve circulation which is need to transport your reproductive hormones efficiently around the body.
Exercise can also help keep stress levels down which is also important when trying to conceive a baby.
Know Your Ovulation Day
Now that you've got yourself in great shape your next step is to time intercourse as close as possible to your ovulation day (the day you release your egg). You can determine your ovulation day by using OPK's, saliva monitors or charting your temperature.
Once you know your ovulation day then make sure that you have sex the day before, the day of, and the day after to ensure the best possible chance of getting pregnant.
Positions that encourage deep penetration such as doggie and missionary can also help deposit the sperm closer to the cervix which can help conception.
You should also make sure that your partner remains healthy as well to ensure that his sperm is strong and will last the trip to the fallopian tubes.
