Wondering how to cure heartburn?  Heartburn is not something you want to deal with, it especially sucks when you keep getting it day after day.  The burning sensation in your upper chest and esophagus can be a constant irritance and it can even be a serious problem if it happens too much.

Basically what can happen is your esophagus can begin to scar and then narrow which makes it harder for you to swallow.  Also, you may develop cells in your esophagus similar to your stomach lining to deal with all the acid and this can lead to cancer of the esophagus

So it’s a good thing you’re here learning how to cure heartburn.  If you don’t find what you’re looking for here, be sure to check elsewhere on the Internet, there are plenty of tips and tactics to deal with this.

Now without further ado, here are a few of the best ways I’ve found that will bring you natural heartburn relief:

1.        Take Cayenne Pepper

If you’re searching for ways how to cure heartburn, adding cayenne pepper to your diet would probably be last on your list, I mean why make the problem worse right?  Cayenne pepper is hot and will only irritate the situation further.

Well, not so fast Bucko’, cayenne pepper or red pepper is a spice that can aid in digestion when it is in it’s dried form.

When it’s dry and not cooked, it has antiseptic properties and has high amounts of vitamin C and beta carotene, this will work to strengthen your nerves, heart and arteries aside from dealing with your acid reflux, so it’s a double whammy.

2. Relax After Your Meal

Another way how to cure heartburn is if you’re feeling it coming on, unbutton your pants and relax a bit. Try massaging your stomach and just wait for your body to start the process of digestion before you go do anything else. It’s a good idea to wear loose clothes and that you stay up for at least another 3 hours before hitting the sack, you want to give yourself time to work the food through your system.

3. Chew Gum

This is a strange way to cure your heartburn, but it works. Try chewing on some gum right after a meal. The saliva will work it’s way down your throat and help to prevent the acid reflux from getting out of control. It will also help aid in digestion a bit.

Now in place of gum, you may also try chewing some dried fruit like raisins as well, just make sure you don’t swallow.

Now hopefully this has shown you how to cure heartburn should you get it again. If nothing here works though, be sure to look around the Internet for other solutions, I’ve only covered the tip of the iceberg!
