Dancing is a lot of fun. Dancing well makes it even more enjoyable. One great dance is the salsa. It is quite an easy dance to learn and perform but you will need to practice to get it perfect. This hub will teach you how to dance the salsa.

Get into the starting position. You want to be facing your partner. The person leading needs to place there right hand on there partner's waist. You want the hand to be slightly around the back of the person. Now diagonally extend your left arm to chest height. You want to make sure that your elbow is bent at a right angle and your palm raised. Take the right hand of your partner in a loose grip. Your partner should have there left hand should be on your right shoulder.

At the first beat take a step forward with your left foot. Throughout the dance your partner should mirror each of your movements. This means on the first beat they take a step backwards with there right foot.

On the second beat step in place with your right foot.

The third beat with your left foot step back so that you are back in the starting position. You want to hold in place for the fourth beat.

Step back with your right foot on the fifth beat.

The sixth beat should see you step in place with your left foot.

Step forward with your right foot on the seventh beat so that you are back in the starting position, and hold for the eighth beat.

Repeat the above from the second step onwards
