If you want to have a consistent delicious taste in your cup of Joe, then you need to focus on the quality of the coffee beans that you are using. First of all, do not even think of using pre-ground coffee if you want it to taste decent in any way. The absolute best way to enjoy your Java is by grinding it freshly directly before you brew it so that you can ensure the quality in taste and flavor.
Next, make sure that you are not purchasing too many fresh coffee beans at one time because they will immediately begin to lose their freshness. It is best to purchase freshly roasted beans from an Internet retailer or directly from a roaster in your area, and only to purchase an amount that is enough for about a week. Freshly roasted coffee beans have a shelf life of 10 to 14 days, so it is important that you strictly adhere to that so you can trust that your flavor will be the best.
Another thing to consider is aged coffee beans, which are green coffee beans that have been stored in a warehouse for 2 to 3 years to enable their flavors to develop more deeply. This is a fantastic choice if you would like to have an even better taste to your brew because the aging will cause the beans to lose the acidity and increase the body in the flavor profile for a much more complex taste.
If you are purchasing freshly roasted beans, then you do need to store them in a vacuum sealed container in a cool location so that they are not tainted or corrupted. It is recommended to never store your fresh coffee beans in your freezer because that will completely deplete them of moisture. As you may have noticed, freshly roasted coffee beans are incredibly shiny because they are covered in essential oils. These essential oils come from the roasting process where they are released, and that is what gives freshly roasted coffee beans their amazing flavors. If you do freeze your coffee beans, then they will be dried out so that the essential oils will no longer provide the rich flavors that they once did.
Once you have freshly ground your coffee beans, they will remain fresh for about two hours. This is a very short time frame, so you need to take that into consideration when you are considering buying pre-ground coffee beans because there is absolutely no way that they can be fresh. This is again why it is so necessary to grind your coffee beans just before brewing so that you can trust that they are as fresh as possible.
With these simple steps, you will have the capability of keeping your coffee beans fresher so that your cup of Joe will taste even better every time that you brew. In truth, it only takes a few more seconds to freshly grind your beans, and it will pay off in large quantities of flavor!

Well, they will technically not be fresh since they are prepackaged, but they are incredibly convenient! I would have to say that if you want to stay true to the integrity of coffee freshness, then that is definitely not the way to go. :)
