How To Do Keyword ResearchTo Produce Popular Online Content
How to do keyword research to produce popular online content is an intelligent question. Key word research is more important in the headline than most people realize. I am going to use the headline I was given and the keywords I was given.
First of all the headline is too long. Look at you local newspaper, the headline is probably three or four words max and it still draws your attention. If I were to research the headline of this article I am certain I would get no responses at all. There may be valuable keywords in the headline but the spiders don't even see them in a headline.
When the search engine spider sees your headline, they expect that to be the theme of your article. A nine word headline the spider never sees. A two to three word phrase is Ideal and a four word phrase is acceptable. The pros would never have more than four words.
How to do keyword research to produce popular online content is the theme of this article. The headline is the most Important part of your article because it is what will bring results from the search engines. If people are not typing in your keyword phrase they are not finding you on the Internet. Your content will not be popular because your headline is too long.
If I were choosing a title for this article using your own title I would choose these, number one, Do Keyword Research. number two, How To: Keyword Research. number three, Keyword Research: How to. Check those out on your keyword research tool and see what happens.
Your title is the most important part of your article.
Now here is the reason why your headline phrase is soooo important. First of all it has to draw a readers attention, a nine word phrase wont cut it. No one would type in a phrase that long in a search. Second but most important if you want readers, the search engines have to like it.
Have you noticed, how to do keyword research to produce popular online content has already been used three times in the body of this article. I will probably use it two more times and the last time will be in the final paragraph. A short four word title is much easier to blend in than a nine word sentence. You have to find a balance to please your readers and the spiders.
As I said previously your headline is your theme, when you use it in your subtitle and In the first sentence of your text body you have reassured the spider you are going to stick to your theme. Then when the spider sees it one or two more times in the middle of your text and then again in the final paragraph, the spider knows you have stuck to your theme and he loves it.
The spider will rate you higher on the list for that. And if it is a good healthy three or four word title phrase the spider will be extatic. you might even find it in the first spot on the first page of google. It happens more often than you might think.
I use Wordtracker for my keyword research. It gives me three columns of numbers That I can play around with and a fourth column with the words that were searched for. If I type in the word Research I would probably get a response of about a thousand to fifteen hundred different ways that word was used .
The first thing i would do is click on the heading of the first column which is Demand. That would tell me how many times the word research was typed in by someone. In clicking on that column the highest number would be on the top of the column and decrease as you go down the pages.
The second column is supply, that tells you how many people are supplying answers to the demand. The third column is the profitability column. That tells you how valuable a response to the demand for that word or phrase will be. I will try to give you a for instance.
How to: research keywords. the demand is 300,000 the supply is 522,000 the profitability is 9 that's not very profitable is it. throw that one out. Now lets look at Research keywords:how to the numbers are just about the same. throw that one out too. Research keywords is even worse so we throw that one out the window.
We look down the the list and here is one Researching Keywords, This looks much better and it's a good title. Demand 44,000 supply 168 Profitability 2,500. That would be the title of my next research article. I hope you get the point. There needs to be a balance between demand and supply to provide a good profitability. Short keyword titles properly used, are like money in the bank.
In the body of your article three or four well researched keywords pertinent to your theme are enough, no more than five. The search engine spiders may already be able to detect keyword spamming. If they think you are spamming they will shut you out completely.
All of your keyword loaded articles will be bypassed by the search engines and it will take a long time to work your way out of that mess.
I am going to let this article stay For two months and track it's activity. Then I will change the Title Phrase to no more than four words and change the keywords in the body and track it again. I am willing to wager the readership increases ten fold.
