How To Draw An Evil Pumpkin
76Drawing An Evil Pumpkin
Pumpkins look great when you carve them out and they look quite sinister when you put a candle inside as the lighting from the candles flame just makes your pumpkin sculpture come alive.
When drawing an evil pumpkin you can achieve the same thing with a bit of colour too.
Step One - Pumpkin Shape
When I draw pumpkins, I always draw an almost rough circle like shape first as a guide and start from there, so here is that circle shape and it helps to flatten it slightly as you'll find that pumpkins are not perfectly round.
Step 2 - Draw In The Eyes, Nose, Mouth And Root Stem Of Your Pumpkin
This part I try and make the eyes, mouth and nose look like it was cut into the pumpkin, as you want to try and achieve a piece of pumpkin art that looks evil, you could try out some eye variations at first, to get them looking really evil and angry like I have done or you could do a happy halloween pumpkin for the little kids.

Step 3 - Pumpkin Lines And Proper Shape
As I said before the shape of the pumpkin isn't perfectly round as there are lines on the pumpkin that make it appear to have bumps around the edges, I also darken the pencil lines at this point to make the drawing permanent and more grounded, so I can confirm that nothing needs changing and can therefore ink it in the next stage.

Step 4 - Ink Your Halloween Pumpkin
A nice fine line roller ink pen or whatever you want to use to ink your Halloween pumpkin, I always say to ink a drawing, especially if you are going to colour it later on which we will, all you need to do is go over the lines but try to improve on those pencil lines, try to ink them with varying thicknesses and line weights if you wish.
I left out unnecessary cross hatching as I felt the colours will need to stand out more in the final stage.

Step 5 - Colour In Your Halloween Evil Pumpkin With Sharpie Markers
For quick colour I use Sharpie markers as they are bright vibrant colours that look good and they are very handy when you want to fill in solid areas of colour and also I use Crayola colour pencils to smooth some of the pumpkin organge colour with a bright yellow.
And the pumpkins root stem I just shade in with a dark green and then blend in a light green and highlight with a yellow Crayola pencil pressing hard with the yellow over the whole stem area.
And there you have it, an evil Halloween pumpkin that looks quite cool but Evil!
