Drawing Lots Of Monsters Ideas And Creative Insights
Drawing lots of monsters and how to draw monsters is a subject that is very easy thing to do and once you get your head around the fact that monsters are not all the same.
Drawing monsters is as much as drawing them from imagination and tapping into the creative concepts that anyone has is the way to invent new monsters every time.
Inspiration from drawing monsters for me is the films, horror films in particular, they just seem to be the ideal background for movie monsters to inspire the creation of new original monsters in the form of sketches and drawings. I try to watch some classic horror films and recent horror films when I can to get some drawing of some monsters done.

Drawing Monsters Should Be A Fun And Creative Process
All monsters should not look like one and other as this should be the fun part about drawing monsters and creatures. You could start off with intentions of creating a demonic monster and then something in your head could just alter your perception about what you want to achieve on the paper, you could draw a line and then decide no I'll draw this way and then before you know it the drawing has taken on a life all on it's own.
Monsters can be demonic, ugly deformed thing creatures, or other movie inspired monster variations.
The creative process of drawing monster creatures all starts with an idea just like any drawings, but monster drawing is something that I lose myself in by drawing them a bit too often as this is my specialty as I just love the design of nasty looking monsters, I'll quite often watch a horror film and pause it at the moments when a monster is on the screen so that I can sketch ideas down on paper.
Draft Your Ideas
So the first thing to do is to get some sketches and rough ideas down on paper first and this will be your starting point for creating more depth to your monster drawings, I like to draw multiple monster sketches as every drawing you do will be of some use, somewhere along the lines you could use unused drawings for other projects.
Develop You Sketch Ideas
Developing your sketches and your ideas further is the logical next step and one that you may have some sort of idea of anyway, but it's really worth spending a bit of time on developing your drawings further by adding movement and life to your creations.
The imagination is a great thing when it comes to drawing, so try and come up with fantastic monsters, as you'll be selective in the next step.
Choose One Monster Design - The Best Out Of The Lot
Choosing just one of your monster designs to work on at a time, you will be able to focus and finish all of your monsters one at a time, but when you have chosen your monster design, you can then finish it by adding details and colours or black inked lines for further depth with shadow, I'm a fan of pencil shading, but you may choose to paint or colour with pencil crayons.
Imagination is the creation of all things that may or may not exist!
