How To Get Rid Of Pimples
85How to get rid of pimples?
A good question with many answers. There are really three answers that directly resolve it, though. The first answer is to pop it, not the safest way to treat acne. The second answer is with an acne prevention plan, this helps keep pimples from coming back. And the third is with a treatment plan, this involves either medication or OTC acne creams.
Before diving into these answers, we must first understand what causes pimples. During our teenage years, the explosion of hormones in our bodies produces extra oils in the pores of our skin. The main oil is called sebum, when a follicle creates too much it builds up under the skin and creates pimples. The sebum is mixed with other oils and bacteria to cause this painful acne. When the tip of the follicle is open, the sebum mixes with dead skin cells and dirt to create blackheads.
When using an acne medication be sure to give it plenty of time to work. If you buy a bottle of face wash, use the entire bottle before determining whether or not the product is going to work for you. The active ingredients take time to work and if you don't give it that time you'll never see the results you want.
How To Get Rid Of Pimples By Popping Them
You can get rid of pimples that are already on your face by popping them. You must consider the consequences of doing this, though. Pushing on your skin to get the sebum out of the pimple can damage the tissue beneath the skin's surface. Also, the open wound on your face is very susceptible to infection if sanitation procedures are not followed.
When popping a pimple do your best to push at it sideways, rather than down. This helps the tissue below the surface from getting beaten up. If the pimple will not pop, sterilize a sewing needle with alcohol and puncture only the tip of the whitehead. As soon as it has popped, use a cotton ball or cotton towel with alcohol on it to clean it up. This will hurt a bit, but it will help prevent infection.
Who would have thought that learning how to get rid of pimples would be so painful?
How To Get Rid Of Pimples With Prevention
Preventing acne is the best way to get rid of pimples for good. Drinking tons of water will flush toxins out of your body. Without flushing these out they will build up and show up in the bacteria of your pimples. Drink at least a half gallon of water a day.
Learning how to get rid of pimples will also improve other areas of your life, not just your skin. After you learn how to get rid of pimples, your overall health will improve through your diet and improved awareness of what goes on inside your body.
How To Get Rid Of Pimples With Medication
If the methods above on how to get rid of pimples are not enough to clear your skin, medication may be the route to take.
