How To Get Your Kids To Brush Their Teeth!
57How do you get those children to brush their teeth? This has been a huge headache for me over the last 6 years. I have three children aged 7, 6 and 4. I know, I know, I am crazy! In the month of September they are all 1 year apart. I might as well have had triplets.
Since I am a huge organic freak and do not believe in Fluoride I have a hard time finding toothpaste that actually tastes good and is organic. That is the first problem much less flossing and mouthwash. All of the junk on the market is horrendous for kids not to mention ourselves. Well, luckily I did find some great organic products for them to use that they didn't scream and shout about. Step one going great. Found some good tasting Organic toothpaste and mouthwash.
Now, step two was to make this fun and exciting. We all know how kids love colorful, blinking, sparkly stuff. If I had a dollar for every kid item that blinked (Tennis Shoes, Toys, Jackets, Hats) I would be really wealthy! So I went to my favorite low budget store to find my dental party goods. The Dollar Store! And what did I find, toothbrushes for $1.00 that blink and light up when you squeeze them. WOW!
Next up, find a really cool blinking cup for the mouthwash. Bingo! There is actually a kids mouthwash called FireFly that comes with a plastic cup that blinks when any type of liquid is put into it. Since I only use organics this worked out perfect because I could use my organic mouthwash and still use the flashy cup!
Last, but not least, the floss. I found some fun floss that comes in different colors and has a handle on each string. Really easy to use and comes in cinnamon, vanilla, peppermint and many other tastes. Problem is they are covered in Fluoride. So I just remove the Fluoride Floss and tie my organic floss to the handle. Silly but effective. DentalTek or Fun Flossers is what I found for $1.00 at the ? Of Course at the Dollar Store!
So here comes the fun. I get the toothpaste on the brush. I put the silly music on. Anything will do. I get the brushes lit-up. We turn lights out and brush away. Now they usually will brush about 2 minutes which is really long. After the silly song we turn the lights back on and brush one last time using the mirror. Then we get the flashy cup out. Put the water in and it starts it's jug. FUN for the whole Family. Once they rinse we put the mouthwash in the cup, turn out the lights, do another round of silly music, and swish to their hearts desire.
Last we all get in the bathroom, put the toothbrushes on, get the cup flashing, get the floss out and do the Dental Dance!
NOW That's How You Get Your Kids To Brush Their Teeth!
Cheers to Your Next Toothbrush Party!

www.I-Love-Organics.com is my website for the organics I use. I found this company about 2 years ago and was so impressed with their products I joined as a preferred customer (free) so I could get my products for 20% off. The toothpaste and deodorant have been big hits in my family. Hard to find an organic deodorant for my husband that truly works.
Enjoy and many blessings!
