In todays world the phrase "How To Go Green" is widely accepted as the go to phrase for green living. I hope to provide some "going green tips" to all of those who are looking to live a more healthy , and earth friendly lifestyle.

The term how to go green covers more then just learning how to eat organic food , and cut back on your fuel expenditure each month. It really is a different way of thinking and a different way of living. The planet is changing folks , and we all need to do our part in order to provide a clean and safe place for future generations to live.

There are so many "ways to go green" that if each person just found one thing they could or would do , our environment will be a better place for everyone.

Here are a few facts why "going green" is not just a great idea , it is a neccessary one.

Each year 1 million sea birds , 100,000 marine mammals and 50,000 seals are killed as a direct result of either eating or being strangled by plastic.

Americans throw away 25 billion styrofoam cups every year , and another 2.5 million pastic bottles every hour.

If every american recycled just one tenth of the newspapers they throw away , we could save around 25 million trees per year.

A single quart of motor oil , if not disposed of properly , can contaminate up to two million gallons of fresh water.

SOME "GOING GREEN TIPS"

These are the facts , and thats nothing compared to what we are doing on a worldwide scale. Living a green lifestyle does not have to be difficult. Besides you will be surprised at how going green saves you money. Most companies these days are making the choice to buy "green products". We as individuals , know how important it is to make a change. Like I said before , it doesnt have to be difficult , just start with small changes at first and you can make a difference. Maybe you will start by purchasing a filtered water dispenser or being a little more strict with yourself about recycling plastic items and newspaper. The most important part is just TO START!

With all the talk about pollution , the ozone , and climate change , we need to do something and we cant afford to keep waiting unti it is convenient."going green" is the answer. Heck with all the statistics on "global warming" , you would think everyone would run out and install a solar roofing panel. That alone would have a huge affect on the savings of our natural resources.

I hope this information has sparked an interest or an awareness of our environmental needs. There is so much to say about this subject I could go on forever. Here is a much more detailed list of ways to go green. It is called "The Green Guide" from National Geographic so please take a look. http://www.thegreenguide.com/
