How To Increase Bat Speed

Increase Your Bat Speed
Hi, I'm Travis. I played baseball up until my senior year of High School. I was pretty good, too. I hit cleanup on our state championship team.
But I knew I didn't want to play in college. I was good enough, but I thought I'd be wasting my time because I wasn't good enough to get drafted.
You see, I was all ability, but no technique. I had great athleticism and hand/eye coordination, but I had no coaching. I just grabbed a bat and went to the plate hacking.
I'd spend hours in the batting cages, but I never worked on anything in particular. I would just square up and hit the ball as far as I could.
Unfortunately, I didn't know what to particularly to work on in order to take my game to the next level. So, I just gave up. I didn't think there was anything I could do.
Now, almost 10 years later, I wish I had the knowledge I have now. I never would have stopped playing, and I'm sure I would have breezed through college baseball and reached my athletic potential.
My best friend, who DID play in college, told me about this amazing ebook he found online. He's an instructor now, and he said that all his teaching principles and techniques are similar to what's taught in this ebook.
Oh ya, he charges $50 an hour.
After reading through the book, I realized he was right. All the secrets in increasing your bat speed and learning how to hit homeruns are right here.
For example, this book teaches you how to wait on pitches longer. This is key because it teaches pitch recognition- not only anticipating when to swing, but where to swing.
In order to do this, you should start taking batting practice with a wooden bat. Wood bats are heavier than aluminum, so it strengthens your wrists and builds bat speed. Wood bats also have a smaller sweet spot, so it teaches you to hit the ball square- more consistently.
Then, once you hit with aluminum in the games, its like the ball explodes off your bat!
These are just a few examples of the things I learned about hitting... but it doesn't really matter now, because it's too late.
Check it out for yourself. If you're still playing ball, I highly recommend it!
