Below you will find 5 out of the box ideas to increase your websites performance.

1. Automated Systems

One way to increase the performance of your website is to implement an automated system that saves time for you and your clients. This will save hassle on your part of setting aside time to handle an issue your site can do for you. An example would be an online ordering system similar to a lot of the top computer manufacturers. Enable ways for your customers to tell you what they want, and the missing link will be for you to fill their order.

2. Search Engine Optimization

Another valuable way to increase performance is Search Engine Optimization (SEO). SEO will leverage your website by climbing the ranks on top search engines such as Google and Yahoo. It is important to consult with your web developer to ensure your website it getting optimized with the correct keywords to attract your market.

3. Search Engine Marketing/ Pay Per Click Advertising

Search Engine Marketing (SEM) or Pay Per Click programs are another great way to ensure that you are getting maximum exposure. Some SEM programs will allow you to target your market geographically, by keywords and/or key phrases. The search engine or website that your ads are hosted on will only appear when the content or searches are relevant to what you have to offer.

SEM programs also allow you to set your own budget, big or small. Generally a higher budget means higher placement and determines how frequently your ad shows up. It is key to find a balance between budget and exposure to attract the right market to turn them into instant sales.

4. Articles

Content is king on the web. The more free quality content that you are able to provide will also enhance your websites performance. You have to link back to your site or certain areas on your site that is relevant to your articles.

5. Blogging

Expand your presence outside of your website, try blogging or guest blogging. With blogging you have the opportunity to create a buzz around you and your product/services, this will naturally interest people and lead them to your website.
