How To Link Google AdSense and Analytics
70This is a hub that describes how to link your Google adsense account with your Google analytics account. The result of doing this is being able to track adsense clicks Through Google analytics. You'll be able to track such things as:
- Top adsense earning hubs
- Top adsense earning referrers
- Your adsense revenue per 1000 impressions
- CTR (adsense Click-Through-Rate)
- Your adsense eCPM
- ... and lot's of other intersting stats
Once activated the Google adsense tab appears under the Content section of Google analytics. You can also get ad sense data relative to other statistics in Google analytics such as adsense clicks based on region or user profile.
Configuration
Linking your Google analytics account and adsense accounts together is a manual process at the moment because this feature is in beta testing. I'm not sure if all requests are approved. I applied last year and my request was approved within one week.
- Fill out the request form -- this is an official document from Google
- 1-2 weeks later an e-mail should arrive with further instructions.
- IMPORTANT - upon logging in Google asks to choose one website profile to use as the "main" one. Choose HubPages.
You can track adsense on an unlimited number of websites but that main site must be HubPages. The reason for this is that an extra piece of code is required on each website to enable adsense tracking except for the "main" site. The main site can use the old code. Since Hub Pages does not support adsense tracking (as far as I know) it's important to choose "Hub Pages" as the main adsense site so that adsense data is still recorded.
I hope that makes some sense. Further instruction and details are given during the three steps listed above. It's all quite a simple process and Google claims that all analytics accounts will have native support for adsense in the near future.
But I decided to write this Hub for us impatient ones. :)

I just got done looking at my analytics page ,wow its pretty amazing huh!..One thing I was wondering though ,the part that highlights 'keywords' used to get to this page seems to list all kinds of pages Ive never been, yet its listed like they are my keywords-I def dobt get that part.
Thanks for your hub ,love hows its easy to understand!!
You mean keywords that don't relate to your pages? These may be the search strings people are typing into Google to get to your pages. I can't be sure if this is what you are referring to, but it sounds like it.
Yes thats what I mean ( I think) I know its hard for you to understand because you cant see what Im seeing (my various hubpage veiws) analytics n keywords used , Indian models ,clevage, panties, do keywords come off adverts? big maybe ...thing is my adsense says 0% while google analytics says my page(s) earned me $1.31 in adsense..hmmm...
Sorry didnt mean to clutter up ya comments ramblibg ,google forum is always so full.
Google ads are based on content more than keyword referrals I think, so I think what you are referring to may be the actual search queries people use to get to your hubs, which may not having anything to do with ads.
Google Analytics takes about 6-12 hours to update data from AdSense, and it will remain in USD values as well, which may account for any delays and discrepancies.
